Eid day! ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ˜Š

My sister and I stayed up the night before eid. There was so much to get done. Our enthusiasm animated the whole house. Hearts filled with excitement, laughter and happiness kept us going through the night. We pumped some balloons, wrapped up gifts, cleaned and decorated our home. Pleased with our effort the following morning we woke everyone up, dressed in our new eid clothes and prayed together at home. After praying we exchanged gifts. The Prophet (may peace be upon him) said โ€ Give presents to one another for this would increase your mutual love.โ€ Gifts have a wonderful, unspoken language to say I care and appreciate you. It brings us all together.

After having spent time together we then went out to visit family and friends. It was amazing maintaining social distance while having fun. Weirdly at that time I decided to ride a horse on the streets. I saw a queue full of kids whose whole focus was on the horse. I donโ€™t think they saw me, so I started having a conversation with them. By asking them who is the first one amongst them. The loudest asked me โ€œAre you going to ride the horse?โ€ smiling I responded yes they mumbled into a laughter. I got a bit shy how everyone kept staring as itโ€™s not the norms of the community so instead I decided to take a photo with this marvelous creature. The horse owner was kind enough to stop his hustling and take the pictures for me.

Hope everyone was able to enjoy their eid with simple smiles.
