If we were all alike, then this world would be a dull place. I love that we have differences in culture. Qatar show casing it’s rich history and vibrant culture in the Worldcup caught my attention. Their hospitality was the number one thing all the fans were raving about.
I have been watching the matches live from home. Some matches had me on my toes. Morocco’s team amazed me. They were expressing themselves freely in all their wins and loses, by performing sajda (Prostration) to Allah, to show gratitude. The Islamic values are an integral part of their culture and identity. Japan’s demonstrated their values to the world as well. Their fans cleaned up the stadium after the matches, and their team left their lockers spotless
I loved the opening ceremony. Morgan freeman made a beautiful speech. Jungkook from BTS sang with Qatari singer Fahad Al-Kubaisi, as a BTS fan this was my favorite part. The Fifa worldcup 2022 mascot “La’eeb” parade was amazing.
In addition to the excitement of the opening ceremony and on the field with Argentina’s big win, the World Cup also has a huge impact, with fans from around the world coming together to celebrate their love for football and their national teams. Whether you’re a die-hard football fan or just a casual spectator like me, the FIFA World Cup is an event that is not to be missed. I’m looking forward to the next one.
