Ramadan

It’s the month of Ramadan. Where Muslims worldwide fast, pray, reflect and most importantly looking after the less previlaged in our communities. This month is also regarded as one of the Five Pillars Of Islam.

Suhur, is the meal taken before we begin our fasting, from dawn to sunset. Which is regarded as a blessing in that, it allows us while fasting to avoid the weakness caused by the fast. Allah, the almighty and all the Angles send their blessings and prayers upon those who eat Suhur.

This is the first Ramadan that I know how to cook well so I’ve been preparing the Iftar (breaking meal) and Suhur. The first few days was disastrous it took me long hours to make the meals.

Whenever I found it difficult, I would let my older sister help me. And when she takes over, it takes her few 1-2 hours cooking variety of meals, leaving me speechless.
I decided to cook keep cooking, and nowadays I find it easy and fun.

This Ramadan, due to corona virus and lockdowns we are not feeding many mouths like we usually do. Ramadan is more different this year , I feel sad that we are missing out on going to majids and not being able to have family and friends gatherings like we used to. I know there’s blessings in every situation and I want to be positive about our world currently.

I finally have a Ramadan where I can sit alone and increase in my personal worship. Where my energy can be focused on pleasing Allah and drawing nearer to Him.

Have a blessed month, and stay health.
