My Weekend

This weekend was lovely. Ever since I came back to Kenya, one of my goals was to become an outdoorsy person. Going to Elementaita and Outdoorman cabins waterfall was a learning experience for me. I hiked back to back, in these dreamy places.

On Saturday I had a tour at Lake Elementaita. We sailed on one of the Rift Valley soda lakes. The lakes are generally shallow, alkaline lakes. Lake Elementaita is one of the lesser-known ‘soda lakes’ in Kenya’s Rift Valley. We also had a relaxing boat ride at lake Naivasha while sightseeing. The only challenging thing I have encountered was the road to get to the southern end of the Lake Elementaita, it was rough and rocky. At the southern end of the lake are the ‘Kekopey’ hot springs, right beside the Lake. Such a great atmosphere. Per usual, I dipped my feet in the hot springs. I don’t understand why I’m always at peace when I’m in the presence of water. Its fresh water and hot saline. The hot springs are very popular for bathing, the local Maasai believe that this water can cure diseases.

The next day was a previlage to witness the beautiful Outdoorsman cabin. It is the perfect place to have picnic and swimming activities with the amazing waterfall view. 5 years already, since I started blogging. I have been sharing with you my experiences. I always loved expressing myself through writing. My sister suggested for me to blog back in 2016. I went straight ahead. I find blogging is the perfect way to know yourself deeper. I’m always sharing my thoughts, new experiences, ideas and mostly new places I visit. This helps me learn more about what I enjoy or bore me. The amazing souls that read my blogs and supported me always, I want to tell you that I appreciate you all, for the love and support.
My upcoming blogs I’ll be posting more about my previous journey in Kenya I didn’t share here.
